About me.
Hi, I’m Sam — the founder of Jigsaw Employer Solutions.
My HR career didn’t start with a grand plan. In 2015 I unexpectedly lost my job and took a temporary admin role in the HR department of a food manufacturing company just to get back on my feet. Very quickly I realised I’d found something I genuinely enjoyed — working with people, solving problems and helping businesses handle situations they were unsure about.
Over the last 10+ years I’ve worked across a mix of industries, from small family-run businesses to large corporate organisations and gained my Level 3 and Level 5 CIPD qualifications along the way. I also spent time as an HR & Employment Law Specialist in a local law firm, which gave me real insight into what actually happens when HR issues aren’t handled early.
That experience is exactly why I started Jigsaw.
I didn’t like how traditional HR could feel rigid, overcomplicated, or disconnected from how businesses really operate day-to-day. Most employers don’t need textbook answers — they need clear advice, reassurance, and solutions that work in the real world.
My approach is practical, straight-talking and supportive. I’ll always tell you what you need to know (not just what sounds nice), but I’ll help you through it properly. No jargon, no unnecessary drama — just sensible HR that protects you and your people.
I love working with small to medium businesses, especially start-ups and growing companies, because that’s where good HR makes the biggest difference.
Outside of work I’m a mum of two, very family-orientated, and if I’m not dealing with HR situations you’ll probably find me baking cakes.
